The old man of the sea. Considered Brazils poorest of the poor, men like this northeastern fisherman have a rich and storied history. Their legendary courage has been immortalized by Orson Welles, Jorge Amado and Time magazine to name a few. They are arguably the worlds most written about fishermen that few have ever heard of.
