Two brothers navigate through a dangerous playground of garbage. Pollution threatens fishing hamlets that dot Brazil's northeast coast. In villages near large cities, like this one, the problem is deplorable. The fishermen told me it began 4 years ago, brought in by the tide. Complaints to city officials were met with harassment. Economic and political forces are pressuring the community to relocate away from the increasingly valuable coastline.
